Oilseed Rape File
Lin Charlston
This book was produced in reference to observations and photographs taken at monthly intervals throughout 2001 at a location beside footpath 57 on the Suffolk Heritage Coast.

Fragmentary data on oilseed rape was collected from field, bookshelf and the internet between May 2000 and November 2003.
Images of the plant itself and the fields in which it grows are allocated to pockets at the front and back of the book where they are easily overlooked and forgotten.

The first page is a botanical description from 1853 and the last page is the same text, having been modified by a spellchecker. Sandwiched between these is a selection of quotes from internet searches throughout the period which almost tell a story.
