I was interested in exploring the graphic design potential of plants in black and white- seeing how different
dots and lines could capture the essence of the plant – the fragility of Welsh Poppy, the sinuosity of
Bladder Campion, the rough texture of Comfrey.

I wanted to reveal the variety by collecting the drawings together in a book format. I felt that the structure
of the book (made from one A4 sheet) was the best way to present and display the drawings.
