Made in celebration of The Limfjord Centre’s Special Anniversary.
Whilst attending the Limfjord Book Arts Festival in Doverodde, Denmark this May, a lady called Marianne approached me carrying a largish plastic bag full of bottle-tops.
“Can you make something nice with these?” she asked me (Marianne had seen some beautiful bottle top badges made by Becky Adams on display at the UWE table, earlier that day...).
I explained that I wasn’t Becky Adams, & hadn’t made any badges before but, ‘yes’ I said, ‘I would try & make something beautiful’ by using all the bottle tops she had kindly given to me.
When I got back to The University of The West of England, I asked members of the ‘Artists Book Club’ if they would like to help, & so the ‘Thy Bottle-Top Badge Project’ sprang into life.
Becky Adams, being the inspiration behind it all, also agreed to contribute to the project & make some special badges too!

We are hoping that badges can be sold or auctioned off; to raise funds,
to enable the purchase a new artists book, for the centre’s special
collection.
