Editions, UKBookmarks are a collection of direct links to predefined web pages which are stored in your web browser, thereby providing links; lines to explore within the webspace These 100 bookmarks form a numbered variable edition, part of a series of artist books, prints and sculptures derived from variations on the theme of The Line Exploring Space. An installation of prints and artist books of the same title was shown on the floor at the PRINTATHON at Forman’s Smokehouse Gallery (opposite the Olympic Stadium), where it was awarded the Intaglio Prize at the 14th East London Printmakers Annual Exhibition. It featured a carpet consisting of a printathon of printmaking techniques, including kiln fired screenprints on ceramics, lithography, etchings, aquatints, monoprints and stitch. Other variations on the theme of The Line Exploring Space include an artist book currently touring the USA, Canada, Australia & UK as part of the Sketchbook Project 2012; an artist book installation shown at the Holden Gallery, Manchester and the Knitting & Stitching Show (touring to Alexandra Palace, London, Dublin & Harrogate); and an artist book at BITE 2012 at the Mall Galleries, London.  www.saatchionline.com/sumiperera sumi_perera@hotmail.comback |
