Street Views of Bristol
Ingrid Wiche, Germany

The title of
the image is Street Views of Bristol.
The image shows streets of Google Earth
taken from different heights, the bookmarks have been divided
from the single overall image (100 x 95 cm, on old cardboard).
I have carved the streets on cardboard from different heights
and afterwards, sprayed the image with different colours.
The parts are bookmarks measure 5 cm x 19 cm. These bookmarks
are not mainly intended for books but to look at them and enjoy
them. I was amazed by the variety of the bookmarks. This has been
one of my intentions.
The bookmarks are numbered from A 1
to 20, B
1 to 20,
C 1 to 20,
D 1 to 20
and E 1 to 20.
So they can be easily found on the photo of the image.

and details.
Google Earth
is today a very important part of our living. I can walk and drive
with Google Earth
in foreign countries. This time I did it in England.
I have read with enthusiasm since childhood, writing little poems
and texts and since 1995 have been working with artists including
Friederun Friederichs,
Lene Rose Gruner
and Cordula Heyl.
I am fascinated by patterns of human behavior which - depending
on how people are raised - often can turn out differently; yet
we all belong to the same species. The intellectual conversion
is done by own poems on materials like wood, canvas, metal, paper,
plants and stone.
Recent exhibitions include: 2012 After
the Big Bang, Brain
Cell bulletin Board Ryosuke Cohen, Osaka,
Japan, and MAYWORKS 2012,
a Festival of Labour and the Arts.
I am currently preparing for the 2012 Frankfurter
Buchmesse, Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
