September 2012 - February 2013
Welcome to Bookmarks X. Over the last nine years, the Bookmarks series of free artwork distribution has visited 93 venues in Australia, Brazil, Canada, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, Singapore, South Korea, Switzerland, Turkey the UK and USA.
356 artists have contributed 35,600 bookmarks to the ten projects to date.

Bookmarks X includes 30 artists from Australia, Canada, Croatia (pupils from Djurmanec Primary school), Germany, the UK and USA. All of the bookmarks have been archived in the gallery section here, with each artist’s contact details, so you can visit their websites and see more of their book works. We have a super selection of bookmarks produced with photography, relief print, letterpress, rubber stamps, stitch, laser cutting, folding structures, hand painted watercolour, stencilled, etc.

Many thanks to the artist Hazel Grainger, one of the contributors, who also volunteered to be our brilliant bookmarks helper again this year. Hazel has counted, stamped, scanned, sorted and collated the artists’ sets and venue sets - thanks also to our MA student summer intern Liz Bath who helped with all the packing and sending of the sets to the artist contributors this year.
