This set is the second part of a project to encourage people to appreciate artwork in the book format and to visit artist’s book venues and libraries. Two series of display sets have now been installed in over 20 venues, with over 50 contributing artists producing over 5000 bookmarks over a one-year period. Part I is also archived on this website.
Both Parts I and II have involved artists who work in the format of the artist’s book, each of them has generously produced an edition of 100 bookmarks for free distribution.
The Bookmarks, made in an edition of 100, include a set for each artist as thanks for their participation, a set for our archives and the rest divided into distribution sets for each of the venues, plus one archive set for each venue to keep. Each of the Bookmarks is stamped with www.uwe.ac.uk/amd/cfpr/bkmks which links to the parent page for this project on the CFPR website, with images and details of each of the contributor’s Bookmarks.
Part II Venues:
Each venue is supplied with a custom made Bookmarks Exhibition Box, to be installed in their area. Bookmarks by the artists are free for the public and visitors to take home.
