1. Place diagram within a number of staves and add vertical divisions to denote the beat.
2. Plot notes where each beat crosses a line or space within the stave (e.g. all lines begin from a single point, therefore the first chord is in unison).
3. Utilise the full range of each instrument.
4. Upward movements are interpreted as single notes and downward or reverse movements become glissandi (e.g. L to H, K to G etc).
As the initial placing of the diagram is arbitrary, this is one variation of many.
By shifting the figure up or down, changing the spacing of the vertical divisions or altering the combination of instruments, any number of alternative interpretations is possible. PLAY.
