![]() Envelopes Carinna Parraman Bristol, England, UK There are two things I like about envelopes: on a practical level, I tear old envelopes into strips to use them as book markers and make comments or page references along the top; or, I imagine they have been delivered by a mystery sender. Sometimes a letter arrives by mistake, be it incorrectly addressed or the previous occupant has left long ago. More often than not these letters are circulars or junk mail, but sometimes they look official, as if the contents might reveal a mystery or significant news: a lost will now found and the beneficiary to be tracked down, an unsuccessful job application, an unexpected admirer, a rejection, an invitation, an opportunity. A sealed letter with an odd line of writing, might give a glimpse of its contents.
