Borders of Perception was an exploration of the possibilities and challenges an artist faces when dealing with abstract dilemmas such as boundaries, borders, subjectivity and their relation to different ways of seeing. The workshops were specifically tied to the history and position of the city of Enschede. Workshops over the two-week period included:

Enschede as a city on the border of Germany and Holland
Enschede as a city on the border of forgetting and remembering
Enschede textile city; the border between body and surroundings
Enschede on the border of local happenings and an (inter)national audience
