Angie Butler
Angie Butler is an artist based in Bristol, & currently in her first year of an MA in Multi-Disciplinary Printmaking
(specialising in Artists Books), at The University of the West of England. She is interested in the interaction
between Eastern & Western Cultures - Her artist’s page is a laser cut which features text from an Ancient
Chinese Proverb, overlaying two scanned slices of bread.

The loaf was home-made & baked, using her Home Breadmaker; & her image evidences the ‘tell-tale’ keyhole
& circleholes which always appear in the last two slices of a loaf, made by using a bread-making machine.

Angie is a Teaching Fellow in Visual Arts at ICIA (Institute for Contemporary Interdisciplinary Arts) at The
University of Bath & a Part Time Lecturer in Creative Arts at Bath Spa University.

Angie bakes all different kinds of bread for herself & her friends using her Home Breadmaker. Her favourite is a three-seeded loaf.
Laser cut on Somerset Satin 350gsms, 33cms x 70cms
