Traditional and emerging formats of artists’ books: Where do we go
from here? (09/07/09-10/07/09) Kenneth Butler and Richard Cox : UK ![]() Kenneth Butler : Artist and Subject Leader - BA Art and Writing / Senior lecturer - Art and Theory, Cardiff School of Art and Design, Wales, in conversation with Richard Cox: Senior Lecturer - Director Howard Gardens Gallery, Cardiff School of Art and Design. In conversation - If the criteria for aesthetic enquiry is insufficient how may we improve the dialogue, debate, dissemination etc for book arts now? Certainly as by raising the level of discussion and celebrating good critical insights and connections amid the multiplicity. But also, by highlighting practice-based inclusivity and speaking more openly about innate thinking and processes, media etc of our particular involvements within specific formats, as well as enabling collaborative undertakings with unlike minds to tease out and devise better self-critical tools and articulacy.
