'Condensed 451'
Sarah Bodman, UK
10 sets of badges made by condensing the plot of the book Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury,
into ten short bites. These were sent to bookshops to give away on World Book Day.
You can print this page out to make your own badges.

Fahrenheit 451 was first published in 1953, and predicted wall-to-wall televisions, i-pods and
the idea of living in a vacuous TV-orientated world, where books are banned. The badges mimic
the TV-language of “the family” in the book, which reduces everything to a short sound bite.
