| The Art of the Book : Collaboration At the University of Missouri, St. Louis' Gallery FAB and Gallery Visio, 1 University Boulevard and Natural Bridge Road, Missouri, USA 23rd September – 17th November 2005
![]() A project of collaboration, including work by 250 international artists. This is the second exhibition in The Art of the Book exhibition series, organised by Marian Amies; Associate Professor in the Department of Art and Art History at the University of Missouri, USA. The first, in 2000, used the proceeds from the catalogue sales to help fund the travel costs for six BFA graphic design students from the University of Missouri to visit Senegal and participate in the TGD4 artists’ workshop in Dakar in 2004. Proceeds from the 2005 catalogue will also create additional funds for the Art of the Book Scholarship to be awarded to BFA students, for international travel for art studies and making artists’ books. The exhibition includes: works by BFA students at the University, works from Cally Barker’s Book Project www.thebookproject.org, national and international artists. As part of the exhibition, The Centre for Fine Print Research have loaned a selection of 80 artists’ books from Sarah’s collection for the exhibition, and sent a distribution box of the latest Bookmarks III project. Tom Sowden also made a selection of student and staff work from the What’s in the Box? project.
