![]() La forme-valeur/The value-form Sharon Kivland I am trying to find a woman speaking in Marx’s Capital. Yet all I find is an object speaking, the charming voice of a commodity in the chorus of goods going to market. Originally a work in French for the Galerie du Cloître, ERBAR, Rennes, sign-painted by Monsieur Claude Monnet, assisted by the artist, on a Chanel-pink ground, as a book the lovely lines describing commodities (from Chapter 3 of Capital) are now in English as well, though a certain amount of correction from gender neutral to the feminine was necessary. Happily, in French, the commodity already takes a feminine form.
