WITH MY LEFT HAND

I made WITH MY LEFT HAND in 2006 as a reponse to Les Coleman’s 1982 book
WITH MY RIGHT HAND. I had loved this project of his for a long time. I loved the
deceptively simple drawings of dull things sitting right in front of him on his worktable.

These drawings are not so simple when drawn with the hand that you never use. I drew
the same boring objects, but with my left hand. His book was red, my book was green.
I tried at every moment to remind the reader that this was Les’s idea not mine.
