Book selected: The American Museum Experience: In Search of Excellence
New title: Constitution or Victory
I found the book uninspiring - too straight-laced - and decided to physically remove it from the work. I selected the five most interesting photographs from the book and attached irrelevant sentences (but also taken from the book). Both of these selection processes were governed by my need to make the material more exciting. I then blew word and text up to make posters celebrating the liberation of these elements from the original book. Constitution or Victory, I hope, is open to greater interpretation than the original, which was, to me, a monument of clarity and boredom.
