Book selected: Peintres Belges Contemporains, by Jakob Smits
Collaged interventions that used coloured, found images that responded to the painters’ styles, subject matter, mood or narrative.
I tried to work in sequences throughout. Initially I wanted to keep the book intact, but in the end, I selected images that worked well as “connected images”. This meant that I had to re-assemble and bind the book again in a new sequences, re-numbering the pages.
