Book selected: The Purveyor of Enchantment, by Marika Cobbold
I found looking at the example of the book which had been laid open and cut to resemble grass very liberating and enabled me to take a much more ruthless approach. I did however want to preserve a lot of the text, the original title and some aspect of the book’s spine.
Turning it upside down lost the distraction of original text and having skimmed it first and circled some text I liked the essence of, I cut sections of that to place within my new story as background.
It still looked raw to me but I have gone as far as I want to. This is my first completed altered book and won’t be my last.
