| The fair included
free workshops and printmaking demonstrations in the studio, and a display
exhibition of artists’ books on loan from the ABPP programme at the
Centre for Fine Print Research. Sarah held a free, book arts surgery with bookable slots during the day. Soprano Janis Kelly performed ‘Lied’ from Movement II of Felix Mendelssohn’s, ‘Vaterland, in deinen Gauen’, from Festgesang zum Gutenbergfest (1840) in the studio. The music was commissioned for the Gutenbergfest held in Leipzig in 1840 to celebrate the invention of printing. Buchdruckerkunst = art of printing. ![]() Proboscis also presented Diffusion:
as a distribution mechanism for handmade paper publications.
