For some time now I’ve been interested in the art and design of record labels. It wasn’t until early in 2016 that the idea came to me to feature the art and design of these things on Instagram. I was one of a few showcasing record labels, but I wasn’t alone in thinking these things were cool. Record Label A&D (Record Label Art & Design) has nearly 800 followers. Often times I’ll get messages, comments and likes from the musicians and other creatives involved in the bands or making of the records featured. Also, I step back from my own musical tastes and look at the labels objectively – if I like the look of it, I’ll post it.
