Biographical Depredations
Original book title: 'Biographical Memoirs of Eminent Novelists and other Distinguished Persons'
I have made two responses to this book. As it is nearly 200 years old, I was loath to destroy it. In researching its history I discovered the Google scan - supposedly to preserve it for posterity, yet randomly destroying it. I decided to insert some of these pages - I reformatted the text and had to read the text over and over to catch all the mistakes. It is probably the first time for decades that this book had been so closely read.
