2012 This brief bookwork is a reaction against any aestheticisation of the attack on al-Mutanabbi Street. Its aim, rather, is to provoke reflection: it posits some of the implications of what is actually at risk when bookshops are attacked and books are destroyed: it seeks to suggest in a terse, condensed way, through a form of fragile word mapping, some of the implications of such aggression against human thought, reason, imagination, expression. She has worked with the Victoria and Albert Museum in London and in 2008 was awarded a residency at the Drawing Research Centre, Wimbledon School of Art.
