Book burning is a word which has a bitter aftertaste in Germany.

In 1933, many books by poets and writers, as well as visual artists under the heading of "Degenerate Art", were taken out of circulation. Books were burned and pictures and art objects disappeared in cellars and bunkers. The "degenerate" artist had a hard time after the Second World War to catch up again. In this respect, in my contribution to the project "Al Mutanabbi Street" I feel the need to make this.
