New Yorker In Praha 2011
Peter Dijk, Netherlands
A perfect moment never lasts long but
an imperfect moment may have a lasting impact.
The form of leporello supports the continuum of the moment. It is
composed of eight photomontages. Collages made from photographs
and parts of photographs.
The sources of the photos are ads in the 'New
Yorker' and pictures from a book on Prague architecture
called 'Dialog Tvaru'.
Juxtapositioning the two sources led to a play with time/moment
and perfection/decay .
Specially made for Al-Mutanabbi Street Project 2012
in an edition of 5.
