Shannon Kelley, San Francisco, USA, March 2013 Reap & Sow is a small book made from one piece of paper, the words of three poems, and meaningful colours and shapes. Behind the format is the thought that in the face of destruction one would be able to start again with very little. The topics of the poems are destruction, reparation and renewal. Together the poems tell the story of hope. You can always start again by following inspiration and allowing collaboration to come from what we have in our lives, food, words, games, friends, and a piece of paper. The piece of paper is made from recycled palm tree fibres. The shapes and colours remind me of the cycle or eclipse of the moon, ripe and unripe dates, or game pieces on a checkerboard. What move will be made next?
