Reminiscent of a past library process where the index card and date stamp meant the book belonged to you.
This years bookmarks celebrate the enjoyment of a trip to the library. The torn and restored cards suggesting a snapshot of the books life, a date that suggests the ownership of the book, how often it had been selected and its pages turned.
Sadly these books were no longer selected for their use or beauty, they have become 'unfashionable. Similarly with the process of indexing and stamping, the books have been withdrawn, stamped and taken way for the last time.
