These bookmarks are printed from letterpress wood type and ornaments. I really loved the skull ornament when I saw it, and knew I had to buy it. Letterpress was the standard book-making printing process until the late 20th Century, and many terms from letterpress printing – deadline, mind your Ps and Qs, out of sorts – remain with us.
This edition was printed by hand, without using a press.
