Lynette Willoughby and Clare Wigzell
United Kingdom
Rock, Tree, Landscape is an ongoing collaboration between artist’s book maker and visual artist Lynette Willoughby and poet and emerging artist Clare Wigzell. Initially inspired by visits to Brimham Rocks and the Otley Chevin Geology Trail they have become quite obsessed by trees and rocks in all their magnificent diversity. Experimenting with photographs, drawings, paintings, rubbings and painted seedlings along with prose, poetry and quotations they have created a broad variety of book forms that explore the relationships between two artists from different perspectives and traditions and between the page, the visual image and the word.
