As it's the 400-year anniversary of Shakespeare's death, I wanted to honour him by spreading his work. Each of the 100 bookmarks has been hand typed on a typewriter, with all their glory and typos, each containing a stanza from the poem "Venus and Adonis."

This poem is considered one of Shakespeare's most graphic depictions of sexual excitement and I love the idea of someone reading a risqué stanza from a random bookmark with no context. On the other hand, stanzas without explicit scenes will be viewed as words on a red bookmark that requires context anyway. Hopefully people will go searching for the meaning of the words where they will find out that this is Shakespeare.
