I am a socially engaged text based artist. I am obsessed with letterpress and all things text. I utilise a variety of processes and
technologies to create my work. Whether parquet or pixel, printing or installation the word and its' meaning are always paramount.
My work is informed through the linguistic and visual imagery we use to create and make sense of the worlds we inhabit.
I explore relationships between people and place through the distillation of intimate, often concealed histories.
Much of my work is focused on memory and identity both from a cultural and personal viewpoint. I am fascinated by how we
communicate, in that the meaning is mediated through the medium and that things are so much more complicated with such
diverse options available in the modern world. This creates a crossover for my community based work, where much of the art
I produce is socially engaged and site specific.
