Kitty Reford, UK
Kitty Reford is an artist and printmaker based in London. The screenprinted bookmark takes an illustrative approach to libraries and
bookshelves in general… despite some proper drawing in libraries to try and get the bookmark off the ground, nothing quite hit the
spot, so this is an amalgamated drawing from my own somewhat rearranged bookshelf (not that I only have one bookshelf !); part of
a drawing of some students in the library at Colchester Institute, and part of a drawing of a group of teenagers having a chat in a café
in Island Gardens. I introduced these two characters to each other, slightly shifted the scale of them in relation to the books, and
made them talk to each other.

The bibliography of the visible or partially visible titles in the print is as follows:

The invisible titles must remain forever a mystery!
