(Undercover) Festival of Flipbooks at Bower Ashton Library

Artists are welcome to join the project and make a flipbook from 12th April – 30th May 2016. The existing flipbooks will be in the library in May.

A touring exhibition project for libraries curated by Anton Hecht. This project launched in Darlington Central in October 2015, after a first install in Gateshead Central Library in 2013 of a set of flipbooks by other artists. This is the second part of the project, supported by Creative Darlington and ACE. Earlier this year the show was in Falmouth, Massachusetts and also shown at Middleton Public Library USA. The USA tour was supported by Library as Incubator.

The books are at Bower Ashton Library, UWE Bristol throughout May, before moving on to Liverpool this summer. The books will be out for handling in the library, visitors are welcome to come and browse.

Artists are welcome to join the project and make a flipbook from 12th April – 30th May 2016. If you are interested, ask Steve Norton in the library as he has put some books aside to be made into flipbooks.

You will not get your books back – they will join the project and tour in the UK/USA.
