Gino Ballantyne establishes a context for his ideas which searches for a truer unconstrained character. His process is reflective; individual expression, elaboration of ideas, intuition and direct experience are his filters, and universal themes and ideas are consistently echoed in his work.
Gino was born in Malta and studied at The Glasgow School of Art (BA (Hons) Fine Art, Drawing and Painting 1983 -1987) and the University of the Arts London, Wimbledon College of Art (MFA in Painting 2009).
